Release your own sky lanterns at the Lanna Lantern Festival 2026 in Doi Saket, Chiang Mai - a traditional Yi Peng (Loy Krathong) lantern ceremony with Lanna culture, hill-tribe and Muay Thai shows, a temple visit and a big fireworks show. Two nights only: 24 and 25 November 2026.
4:00 - 4:30 PM - Meet at Wat Phra Singh (main entrance) in Chiang Mai old city, shuttle to Doi Saket
Sacred Temple Tour - pay respect at the stupa and see old Lanna murals; panoramic scenic viewpoint
6:30 - 7:30 PM - Lanna culture shows and dinner box: 5 Hill Tribe Show, Lanna Victory Drum, Muay Thai, traditional "Fon Leb" nail dance
Phang Pratheep - light a Lanna candle for good luck
7:20 PM - Receive your lanterns and gather at the main ceremony ground
8:00 PM - Mass sky lantern release together, followed by the grand fireworks display
8:30 - 9:00 PM - Shuttle back to Wat Phra Singh
