Itinerary
Leave from the jetty at Wat Chai Mongkol and travel north out of the city. The river soon shows its rural side: city bridges disappear and wide water stretches between green tree-lined banks, with local kids swinging from old tyres into the river. The boat reaches the Thai Farmer's House, where you discover the basics of Thai farming - rice, local herbs, fruits and fishing - all grown without chemicals.
Taste khao soi, Chiang Mai's famous yellow egg noodles in mild creamy curry soup, made to a special recipe at the Farmer's House with a choice of side dishes.
