Yi Peng is the Lanna (northern Thai) festival of the full moon of the second Lanna month – the 12th Thai lunar month. People release khom loi sky lanterns to let go of bad luck and make a wish, and float krathong baskets on the water to thank the water goddess. It is held together with Loy Krathong.
Sky of Wishes is in San Pa Tong, about 35–40 minutes south of Chiang Mai city. The shuttle leaves at 1:30 PM from Chiang Mai University Convention Center and returns at 10:20 PM (Premium and Elite: hotel pickup). Chiang Mai Authentic Sky Lanterns: board the shuttle at Pantip Plaza Chiang Mai between 2:30 and 4:30 PM; the programme ends around 9 PM.

Yes, a round-trip shuttle from a meeting point in Chiang Mai is included. Premium and Elite tickets for Sky of Wishes include hotel pickup and drop-off.
Standard is the best value. VIP and Premium add priority entry and better dining. Elite adds a chef’s table and a non-alcoholic open bar.
